نهيلة الكابس تكتب  " علمتني الحياة " 

 علّمتني الحياة أنّني عندما أفرح أظهر فرحتي لأسعد بها من حولي، وعندما أحزن أواري حزني كما يخفي الربيع آثار الخريف، وعلمتني أيضاً أن أكون مثلها وأن أرتدي ثوب الطهر والعفاف، وعلمتني الحياة أن أكون ناعمة مثل أوراقها وصلبة كالجذور، وخشنة كالساق، وطيبة كالعطر، وعلّمتني أن أكون كالتربة الخصبة أعطي من يزرع في ثمره دون انتظار المقابل،لكن الحياة تجعل منك أصم و أبكم لا تعبير ولا معبر و سوف أعيش في ضلام معتم لا ضوء يسطع فيه الألم واليأس يؤدي قلبي حتي لو حاولت لم جراحه ، الحياة قاسية لكن لامفر من عيشها بجمالها و قبحها. 

Life taught me that when I rejoice, I show my joy to make those around me happy, and when I grieve, I hide my sadness as spring hides the effects of autumn. To be like fertile soil I give to those who sow in its fruit without waiting in return, but life makes you deaf and mute without expression or expressive and I will live in the dark darkness where no light shines pain and despair lead my heart even if I try not to hurt it, life is cruel but there is no escape from living it with its beauty And its ugliness
